The vertical press type PV is used in the stock preparation equipment where it is necessary to increase the consistency of the paperπs fibre, to make them suitable for the next working phase. (Feeding hot treatment system, increasing of incoming density refining line, thickening of the mixture coming from undermachine-pulper, etc).

The mixture , which was previously been cleaned from plastic and other impurities, is brought from a density of 2,5-3% to a density of 10-12%.
